New premium cocktail is crafted for convenience and quality without compromise
ST. LOUIS (April 1, 2025) – Penelope Bourbon is shaking up the ready-to-pour market with the launch of its first-ever bottled cocktail: the Penelope Peach Old Fashioned. This premium, handcrafted cocktail offers the perfect balance of convenience and quality, delivering a fresh take on a timeless classic – just in time for spring celebrations.
Marking its highly anticipated entry into the booming ready-to-pour market, Penelope Bourbon introduces Peach Old Fashioned – a cocktail that combines the brand’s signature bourbon expertise with an effortlessly enjoyable drinking experience. Penelope Bourbon is renowned for its dedication to quality, and its new Peach Old Fashioned reflects that same craftsmanship. This ready-to-pour cocktail blends Penelope’s award-winning straight bourbon and rye whiskey with peach bitters and farm-sourced 100% pure maple syrup, creating a balanced, sophisticated twist on the classic old fashioned.
The first in a series of nationwide releases in Penelope’s new ready-to-pour portfolio, Peach Old Fashioned is packaged in a striking 750mL white matte bottle with elegant peach-colored lettering. It is bottled at 80 proof and available for a minimum suggested retail price of $29.99.
“Peach Old Fashioned is our first leap into the ready-to-pour category and we think folks will really enjoy it,” said Michael Paladini, Penelope Bourbon founder and vice president of strategy for MGP Ingredients. “We handpicked the bourbon and rye we used, along with the premium ingredients, to craft a modern take on an iconic classic. We think this will be a go-to for anyone looking for a delicious old fashioned at a great price.”
Peach Old Fashioned opens with inviting aromas of dark cherry and vanilla, complemented by hints of stone fruit and orange peel. On the palate, rich vanilla and allspice mingle with decadent peach and fig, leading to a lingering finish of caramel syrup and sweet candied ginger spice.
“Old fashioneds are one of our personal favorite cocktails to drink, especially the peach old fashioned variation,” said Danny Polise, Penelope Bourbon founder and master blender. “So when we set out to create a ready-to-pour cocktail, it was clear where to begin. Most importantly, we wanted to create a cocktail with the same great taste as if it were made from scratch in your own home or at a great bar. Teaming up with Nashville, Tennessee, cocktail creator Tim Beckner, we created a recipe layered with flavor using quality ingredients you’d find behind any great bar. It’s been a fun new direction for us, and we’re just getting started.”

New Riff Releases Latest Silver Grove Specialty Whiskey Duo
Master distiller’s signature pair of whiskeys to further grow community giveback campaign
Newport, KY (March 26, 2025) - - - New Riff Distilling has announced the dual release of two additional commemorative Silver Grove specialty bourbon and rye whiskeys — a nod to both the area’s distilling past and to New Riff’s future with the distillery’s warehouse in Silver Grove, Ky. The first ever New Riff products to carry the signature of a master distiller, these special barrel proof blends from Master Distiller Brian Sprance highlight the artistry of blending and the depth and character of whiskey in its purest form. Product sale proceeds from the release, which have totaled nearly $62,000 to date, will continue to support the Silver Grove Community Foundation. For more information, visit newriffdistilling.com.
The inaugural Silver Grove blend released in 2023 truly embodied a new riff on an old tradition: a meeting place of vintage labels with a robust barrel-proof bourbon with unique flavors and a continuation of the distillery’s exploration of malted grains. Last year, the distillery announced a 2024 bottling of Silver Grove Bourbon along with the debut of Silver Grove Rye.
“At New Riff, we’ve always believed in letting the whiskey speak for itself, and this barrel proof release is its purest voice,” said Sprance.
Distilled in Newport by New Riff, aged 4 years and barreled at 110.3 proof with a mashbill of 65% corn, 30% rye and 5% malted barley, the 2025 Silver Grove Straight Bourbon Whiskey opens with maple sugar, blackberries and rye bread on the nose, with a mouthfeel of honeyed dark fruits, brown sugar and baking spices rounded out with a bold, spicy oak and lasting fruit finish, Sprance noted.
Aged 4 years and barreled at 110.2 proof with a mashbill of 95% rye and 5% malted rye, the 2025 Silver Grove Straight Rye Whiskey boasts notes of spearmint, raspberry jam, whipped butter and hints of citrus and gingerbread on the nose, with a clove and oak-forward, tannic wood spice mouthfeel leading to a cedar and rye finish, according to Sprance.
“By bottling our signature bourbon and rye straight from the barrel, we’re showcasing the full depth, character, and complexity that make these whiskeys truly special,” Sprance said. “For this release, we hand-selected barrels that best exemplify the rich, layered profile of our bourbon and rye, making this an expression I’m especially proud to put my name on for the very first time.”
The Silver Grove Community Foundation seeks to improve the quality of life and support community-led projects in the city. In 2024, thanks to funds raised through sales of New Riff’s Silver Grove commemorative edition whiskey released the previous year, New Riff partnered with the organization to dedicate a new park at Green Valley Pond, featuring the addition of multiple utility installations and a recreational trail around the pond to connect to current sidewalks.
Aiming to meet their growing need for rickhouse expansion, the award-winning distillery made the decision to build a new barrel warehouse in Silver Grove in 2022, discovering a unique opportunity to significantly support that community through their philanthropic efforts just as they do Newport, President Mollie noted.
The 2025 Silver Grove Bourbon and Rye whiskeys will be available to purchase exclusively at New Riff’s gift shop for $55.99 beginning Friday, April 4.

The 11th annual secret offering from Lux Row Distillers is finished in Añejo tequila barrels
ST. LOUIS (March 25, 2025) – Lux Row Distillers Master Distiller and Master Blender John Rempe renews his annual pact with bourbon drinkers by releasing Blood Oath Pact 11 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Añejo Tequila Barrels. This year’s secret blend features a union of two well-bred bourbons – a 14-year ryed and a 10-year wheated – blended with an impressive 7-year ryed which was finished in barrels that held Añejo tequila. As with all of Rempe’s pacts, Blood Oath Pact 11 is offered at 98.6 proof (49.3% ABV).
Blood Oath Pact 11 will be available for in-person purchase while quantities last starting at 9:30 a.m. on April 26 at Lux Row Distillers in Bardstown, Kentucky. Blood Oath Pact 11 combines three of the finest rare bourbons Rempe could find. The blend is elevated further by the Añejo-barrel finish which lends a distinctive complexity and richness to the pour.
“The tasting experience for Blood Oath Pact 11 begins with the warmth of vanilla and black pepper, sweetly infused with spice and oak,” said Rempe. “From there, notes of cherry and citrus subtly emerge, guiding towards a velvety finish highlighted by black cherry and decadent dark chocolate. It’s a gorgeous expression that’s sure to surprise and please bourbon and tequila drinkers alike.”
Although Rempe doesn’t reveal which famous bourbons were used for the Pact 11 blend, it’s no secret his appreciation for aged tequilas helped shape this year’s offering.
“Añejo tequila has delicious and rich notes due to its aging in bourbon barrels,” said Rempe. “By utilizing the Añejo barrels for this year’s Pact 11, we brought our bourbon full circle while picking up all of the best attributes and flavor notes along the way.”
Lux Row only releases one new Blood Oath Pact annually, and each limited edition features a distinctive label on an embossed glass bottle. This year, a mahogany-colored label with gold highlights adorns the Blood Oath Pact 11 bottle. And like its predecessors, each bottle of Blood Oath Pact 11 comes in a commemorative fire-branded wooden display box.
The official launch of Blood Oath Pact 11 will include a total allocation of 51,000 bottles, 1,400 of which will be held for a future Trilogy release.
